Dave Grohl’s Mom Releasing Book in April

Dave Grohl’s mother, Virginia Hanlon Grohl, is releasing a book about what it is like to raise a rock star.

The book, entitled “From Cradle to Stage: Stories From the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars,” will come out on April 18 via Seal Press.

The book will feature a forward written by Dave Grohl and information from other parents with famous offspring, including Adam Levine, Dr. Dre, and Amy Winehouse.

Modern English Has Cancelled North American Tour Dates

Modern English has cancelled their remaining North American tour dates because of guitarist Greg McDowell’s emergency surgery.

The band released the following statement:

All of us, Gary especially, are very sorry to have to announce the sudden cancellation of our “Take Me To The Trees” U.S. and Canadian dates. This is due to a serious illness and urgent surgery required for our guitarist Gary. Obviously we are very upset and disappointed to have to come to this decision, but without Gary we can’t play any concerts. After recovering from surgery, Gary will be flown home to England for further treatment.
