Atlus, the video game developer that recently released the long-anticipated “Persona 5,” announced two new 3DS games and showed a trailer for an upcoming Nintendo Switch title during their “New Title Announcement Special Spring 2017” livestream on Saturday.
Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey will be coming out on 3DS in Japan this fall, the company announced. The game will be an enhanced version of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, which was released on the Nintendo DS on October 8, 2009 in Japan. The game will feature a new character, Alex, as well as a new ending route and elements that have been enhanced for 3DS.
Atlus also announced Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 will come out on August 31 in Japan. The game will add new classes, such as Pirate, Monk, Farmer, and Alchemist, while still retaining classes from the previous game.
An updated trailer for Shin Megami Tensei for the Nintendo Switch was shown off at the event as well. While the trailer was almost identical to the one shown in January, there were a few extra seconds of footage. Not much is known about the upcoming Switch game and Atlus USA is unsure whether it will be localized for the west.
